Ben Miller – Endangered Rivers of Washington State, Seattle Art Fair July 17 – 20, Booth A18
Artist Ben Miller, in association with Gary Snyder Fine Art MT, will present eleven paintings of Washington State rivers at the upcoming Seattle Art Fair, opening July 17th.
With the support of the Seattle Art Fair and the Duwamish River Community Coalition (DRCC), Miller will paint the Duwamish River on a 6 x 8 foot by 1 inch block of plexiglass, weighing 300 pounds. Miller will create the painting using his unique method of “Fly Cast Painting” – using a fly-fishing rod, he will cast thousands of times, using various shaped materials on the end of the rod, which he calls “Fly Brushes”. ’The painting will be featured at the Seattle Art Fair, with a portion of sale proceeds to benefit the DRCC
